Olá — I'm David Alexander, an independent IT consultant based in Cascais, on the Lisbon coast.
I've spent decades in technology, across more platforms than I care to admit — building, running, fixing, and eventually leading. Somewhere along the way I learned that the hard part of IT is rarely the technology. It's the plan, the people, and the follow-through. That's the work I do now.
I hold a PMP and a CISSP. The first shapes how I run projects; the second shapes how carefully I build them. But what clients tend to keep me around for is the creative part — finding the simpler path, the reframing that unblocks a stuck initiative, the plan people actually want to follow.
These days I consult independently from the Lisbon coast — on-site or remote. I work in English, and I'm learning Portuguese the honest way: slowly, stubbornly, and with growing affection for a language that doesn't make it easy. If you're an international team, or a newcomer building something in Portugal, I speak your language — and I'm learning the local one.
